Doctors consulting at Sheehans Medical Centre strongly value long term engagement with patients and the provision of enduring excellent care.  To facilitate the continuation of such quality service, if you are a regular patient, please take a moment to complete MyMedicare registration which links you as a patient to your regular doctor here.

Why should I register for MyMedicare?

MyMedicare registration allows for higher rebates for longer telehealth consultation, which facilitates longer and more comprehensive discussion of your problem(s) over video or phone, if such is needed.

If you have chronic illness(es), MyMedicare registration will facilitate ongoing care planning and coordination.  This is especially important if you are older, or have complex health issues.

Who is eligible to register for MyMedicare?

These are the criteria:

1) You must have a valid Medicare or DVA card, and

2) You must have had two or more face to face consults at this clinic, with any doctor here, in the last 2 years

Parents/guardians and children can be registered at the same clinic if one of them is eligible and registered. A parent/guardian must register a child under 14 years and provide consent on their behalf. Young people aged 14 to 17 years can register and provide consent without a parent/guardian.

People who are facing hardship will be exempt from all eligibility requirements. This includes people experiencing domestic and family violence and homelessness.

How do I register for MyMedicare?

If you have a myGov account, the easiest way would be to register online yourself.

If you don't have a myGov account, then please consult your doctor here, or enquire at reception.
